Our Story
Karish Eye Care was founded in 2010 by Dr. James Karish with a vision to provide accessible, high-quality eye care to the people of Liberia. What began as a small clinic in Monrovia has grown into the country's leading eye care center.
Over the past 15 years, we have served more than 10,000 patients, performed thousands of successful surgeries, and trained the next generation of Liberian eye care professionals. Our commitment to excellence drives everything we do.

With over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Karish founded Karish Eye Care to bring world-class eye care to Liberia. He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons.
Dr. Mary Johnson
Senior Ophthalmologist
Glaucoma & Retina Specialist
Dr. Johnson specializes in glaucoma management and retinal diseases. She completed her fellowship at the University of Lagos and has published extensively on eye health in West Africa.
Dr. Samuel Brown
Pediatric Ophthalmologist
Pediatric Eye Care & Strabismus
Dr. Brown is passionate about children's eye health. He brings expertise in pediatric eye conditions, strabismus surgery, and amblyopia management to our team.
